Post-Doctoral Fellow

Dr. Sherin Joseph
Biography

After completing B.Tech (Mahatma Gandhi University) and M.Tech (Cochin University of Science and Technology) in Polymer Technology, she has earned a Ph.D. from CUSAT in 2019 under the guidance of Dr. Reji John, Naval Physical & Oceanographic Laboratory, Kochi. Her Ph.D. work focused on developing piezoelectric ceramic (lead zirconate titanate, PZT) films using electrodeposition techniques such as electrolytic and electrophoretic deposition for underwater acoustic sensor applications. Earlier, she worked as ad-hoc faculty in the Dept. of Polymer Science and Rubber Technology, CUSAT, 2017 to 2020. Being with Honey John Research Group, she is currently focusing on piezoelectric polymers, synthesis, and development of polymeric nanofibers by electrospinning for triboelectric and piezoelectric energy harvesting nanogenerator applications.
