Senior Research Fellow

Nisha T. P.
Biography

Nisha joined Honey John’s research group in April 2016 as a CSIR- Junior Research Fellow. She developed facile synthetic strategies for surfactant based facet-controlled nano TiO2 and its graphene incorporated nanohybrids. Presently as an SRF, she is focused on the synthesis and optimization of binary and ternary hybrids of high energy faceted TiO2 with transition metal dichalcogenides and other graphitic monolayers, for various sustainable & energy applications including photocatalytic dye degradation, self-cleaning, superhydrophilicity, hydrogen evolution reactions, etc. Surface plasmon induced hot electron generation and its effect in antibacterial/antifungal properties of facet-controlled TiO2 is another area of her research interest. She pursued her post graduation in chemistry from School of Chemical Sciences, Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala. She also completed her B.Ed. before coming into active research.
