Dr. Aparna P.N. received her B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in physics from Sree Krishna college Guruvayur (2014) and St. Thomas College, Thrissur (2016), respectively. She worked as guest lecturer at St. Thomas College, Thrissur and after qualifying KSCSTE research fellowship, she joined in Dr. K. P. Surendran’s electronic materials group at CSIR-National institute for interdisciplinary science and technology, Thiruvananthapuram. As part of her doctoral thesis work, Dr. Aparna P.N. has extensively researched on microwave absorbing aerogels and succeeded in developing a number of synthesis protocols for aerogels and tried to establish facile strategies for developing aerogels-based EM wave absorbers using V2O5 as the skeletal nanowire matrix. PhD was awarded in February 2023. Then she worked as contract lecturer at Sree Krishna College, Guruvayur. She is currently working as post-doctoral researcher in Prof. Honey John’s research group in the Department of Polymer Science and Rubber Technology, Cochin University of Science and Technology. In the group, she is currently working on the development of aerogel-like materials for energy harvesting applications.
